The final pageant of the Sri Lanka vivahaka ru rajina pageant for the loka vivahaka ru rajina Pageant was held yesterday (04) evening. Mrs. Pushpika de Silva was crowned the winner of the competition and the Chief Guest also graced the occasion.
However, on the occasion, former Sri Lankan vivahaka ru rajina and loka vivahaka ru rajina Caroline Jury came on stage and stated that according to the rules of the competition, the crown should be given to a married person and not to a divorced person. Therefore, she removed the crown on the contestant's head, saying that the runner-up would be crowned.
She said on her Facebook account that she was not divorced. But her ex-husband has stated on social media that he has no relationship with her. He says the divorce case has been pending for nearly four years and is nearing completion
Shiranthi Rajapaksa, Jalani Premadasa and Rosy Senanayake participated in the finals of the much talked about Sri Lankan vivahaka ru rajina pageant. Rosy Senanayake and Shiranthi Rajapaksa were present at the finals of the pageant to present prizes to the Sri Lankan vivahaka ru rajina.
Pushpika de Silva was chosen as the 2020 vivahaka ru rajina and in 2019 she was crowned by the loka ru rajina Caroline Jury.
Shiranthi Rajapaksa and Rosy Senanayake then congratulated the winner and presented her with prizes.
But after the guests left, Caroline Jury, announced that there was a rule in the vivahaka ru rajina competition that all contestants must be married, and that divorced women could not enter the competition.
Accordingly, the Caroline Jury removed the crown from Pushpika de Silva and placed it on the second place winner.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has already filed a lawsuit against Caroline Jr. for inviting her to the Miss World pageant in 2019. .
Although she was elected as the Sri Lankan vivahaka ru rajina yesterday, Pushpika de Silva, who was forcibly removed from the crown, has now lodged a complaint with the Cinnamon Gardens Police.
